I remember reading this issue when it came out. It’s so wonderful.
Also, I miss SCC.

i did this thing with this guy with some other people back a couple years ago. We got to drive around town in Rally cars for a day. It was pretty fun. There were about 8 cars there. Some of the people we complaining about being hot in there cars... the car I was riding in still had its A/C. He explained that there is a weight minimum and that they had already reached their minimum weight, so if they were to take out the A/C they would have to add ballast. He said for the small loss of HP, the comfort of having the A/c was a huge benefit for the comfort of the driver and outweighed the minuscule gain by removing it. The car was the Evo to the far left.

I actually have the physical magazine that ran this article. Sport Compact Car was the best - Josh Jacquot and Dave Coleman knew how to write for the irreverent young enthusiast. ^_^

I wonder if the local library carries archives of that magazine. I would love to read through more of that for sure!

I remember reading this and laughing out loud (when lol was still a new thing) over 10 years ago. :D It’s still great.
